An Easy Way to Repurpose Old Canvas Art

Repurposing and reusing old canvases is the best way to create custom artwork for free!  Add an easy wood frame, a little paint and you have the perfect modern art piece.

A few weeks ago, I cleaned out my husband's office, which included going through a lot of old decor. As I was preparing bags to be packed up for Goodwill I hesitated adding a few old art canvases to the "donate" pile.  I knew they would be easy to update, so I set them to the side for future projects.

If you saw my Fall Home Tour on Monday than you may have already seen my new DIY artwork.  I actually finished this project and took photos before I fully decorated for fall, but wasn't able to get the post written in time.  Better late than never, right?

I had previously purchased artwork for the spot above my new bar cart, but ended up moving it downstairs when I was finishing the vintage modern bathroom makeover.  That left me with a blank wall in the dining room that was just asking to be filled.

Simple and Neutral Fall Home Tour

The days are getting shorter, the evenings are cooler and our home is decorated for fall!

It's fall home tour day!  Sit back, grab a cup of hot cider and get comfy, this is gonna be a long one! If you're stopping by from My Creative Days, welcome!  I'm thrilled to have you and hope you enjoy the tour.

I slacked last year and didn't share a fall home tour (what kind of blogger am I?), so this year I'm extra excited to be teaming up with over 30 fabulous bloggers and Kirkland's (who is generously sponsoring this post) to share my simple and neutral fall home.

I hope you enjoy the tour, but more importantly, I hope it inspires you to create a beautiful fall home you love.

An Easy Way to Build an Industrial Wood Coffee Table

Building a professional looking industrial style coffee table is much easier (and cheaper!) than you think!

It's Monthly DIY Challenge day!  This month,  Kreg has graciously sponsored our challenge and has also provided each of us with a Kreg R3.  I can not believe I have never used one of these handy tools before.  Seriously, have I been living in a hole?

I've built many projects in the past, but building a piece of furniture with pocket holes is a total game changer!

A few months ago we bought furniture for our living room and I have been in search of a new coffee table ever since.  I haven't been able to find one that I really like, so I decided to move our basement coffee table upstairs and build a new one for the basement.   I love being able to shop the house and rearrange furniture.  It's my favorite way to achieve a new look in a space without spending a penny.

How to Transfer an Image to Wood with a Free Pumpkin Printable

A free pumpkin patch printable that you can easily transfer to wood for the perfect rustic fall decor!

I'm all about going cheap when it comes to seasonal decorating.  Let's face it, who wants to spend a lot of money on decor that's only displayed a few months out of the year?  In an effort to keep costs down this fall, I've updated Dollar Tree pumpkins,  made my own fall sign, and now I'm sharing a pumpkin patch printable that I turned into rustic fall art.

How to Get the Industrial Look with Dollar Tree Bins

Turn basic Dollar Tree bins into the perfect industrial storage!

Dollar Tree Storage, Industrial storage

It's the first Monday of the month, which means it's time for another Dollar Store DIY!  This month is all about storage and how I gave little purple bins an industrial makeover.

I've updated these little plastic Dollar Tree plastic bins in the past, but I couldn't resist updating more in a slightly different way.  You just can't beat four little storage containers for $1!  They're perfect for craft supply storage or I use them in my medicine cabinet to keep medicines neat and organized.

Creating a Perfect Fall Tablescape Good For all Year Long

This post is sponsored by World Market.  All favorable opinions are my own.  Affiliate links have been provided for your convenience.

Do you like decorating for the changing seasons, but don't always have the money to go out and buy seasonal decor?   I love swapping out my decor for Spring, Fall and Winter, but buying decor for every season can get expensive and isn't always feasible.   What's the solution?  Sticking to neutrals and adding small pops of color can easily take you from season to season.

Since the fall season is fast approaching and Thanksgiving is a time for gathering I wanted to share a few entertaining essentials to create a beautiful fall tablescape that you can use all year long.

The Easiest Way to Make Affordable Farmhouse Signs

Do you remember that time when I made signs out of foam board?  They were seriously the easiest signs I have ever made and are what started me on my love for sign making.  I don't own a Cricut (what is wrong with me?),  so all the signs I make are super easy, including this affordable gather farmhouse sign.

It's also made from foam board (bought for a dollar at Dollar Tree!) and involves minimal tools and effort.  I used my favorite mitre saw to cut the wood dowels, but you can make this sign with a simple X-ACTO knife or small hand saw.  When I say easy, I really do mean easy!

Let's get started!
