Affordable Farmhouse Decor from Amazon

Signing up for Amazon Prime could quite possibly be the best and worst thing that happened to my wallet.  The incredibly fast and free shipping is awesome when I'm in a pinch (like when I dropped my camera and broke my lens), but my bank account hates that it's so easy to buy whatever I need  want. Just recently, I was searching Amazon for a few new basement pieces and kept getting side tracked by the gorgeous farmhouse decor.  Now, I wouldn't necessarily consider my style farmhouse, but I do like to mix in a few farmhouse pieces into my home. ...

Follow Your Dreams, Face Your Fears {Haven Recap!!!}

Whoa, I'm finally feeling back to normal after five amazing days in Atlanta, GA. This outgoing introvert  conquered all fears (don't laugh!) and set out on her own to fly to an unfamiliar city to attend Haven, a DIY and home decor blogging conference. How to Turn an Old Shelf into the Perfect Farmhouse Herb Garden

A unique way to turn an old bookshelf into a perfect farmhouse herb garden! Hey friends!  I have another quick "trash to treasure" makeover to share before I board a plane and head to Atlanta for a DIY and decor conference.  I'll be gone a few days and can't wait to come back and share my experience with you all.   This summer has been crazy busy with the kids off school, vacations and afternoons at the pool.  I feel like I'm a bit behind on the basement, but I couldn't resist taking a break and jumping on board with 18 other talented bloggers for a thrifted item blog hop. You know I LOVE hunting for treasures at yard sales, consignment shops and thrift stores.  There's no better feeling than purchasing an item for next to nothing and turning it into something completely different and amazing. ...

Take Two: $20.00 Goodwill Dresser Makeover

Hey, happy Monday!  This weekend was full of lots of painting in an effort to finish a few projects before heading to Georgia on Wednesday.  I'll be attending the  Haven conference in Atlanta and I can't wait!  I've formed amazing relationships with some fellow bloggers and I'm so looking forward to finally meeting them in person.  I'm sure I'll be posting some behind the scenes pics on social media so make sure to check in if you want to follow along! I'm slowly but surely plugging away on the basement makeover and finally crossed another project off the list.  A few years ago I bought a $20.00 dresser at Goodwill that I've been using to store our kids art supplies and toys. ...
