How to make West Elm inspired Bin Pulls

An easy way to make unique West Elm inspired bin pulls! Yesterday, I shared my  HomeGoods table that I altered to look like my favorite  West Elm Bin Pull Console table .  I not only loved the iron legs of the West Elm table, but the bin pulls were amazing too.  I knew if I was going to even try to replicate the table, that I had to include the bin pulls.  I searched and searched for similar pulls, but came up empty.  That's when I got the idea to create my own pulls. West Elm Inspired HomeGoods table makeover

A HomeGoods table gets a West Elm inspired makeover! A few months ago I came across a gorgeous table for our living room.  It was the perfect size and the style was just what I was looking for, but the price was WAY over what I would spend on a table.  Ever since I've been on the hunt for a cheaper version that would work instead. {DIY} Wood bookshelves...

One of the issues I had to deal with in my daughter's room was her collection of books.  I shouldn't complain that she loves to read, but the books were getting out of control.  I used to have an EXPEDIT shelving unit in her room, but it was taking up way too much space and kept getting full of junk.   Making long narrow shelves was the perfect solution to maximizing space and adding much needed book storage.  Once I figured out what I wanted, I made my list and headed out to Home Depot to get my supplies.  (Material used are based on (4) 4 foot shelves, although I only ended up using 3 of the shelves) (4) 1x4x8 (2) 1x2x8 Here's how to make the shelves: Cut boards in half to make (8) 4 foot boards Apply glue along the edge of one 1x4 board  Clamp 2 1x4's together  Drill about 6 pilot holes Attach boards with 1 1/2 inch screws Do the same with the 1x2 Once the glue was dry, I sanded the shelves lig......

The Craft Closet is Complete...

An organized craft closet with affordable solutions for storing fabric, tools, DIY supplies and decor.  I finally finished organizing the office closet and am thrilled to have it complete.  I used a lot of budget-friendly storage solutions, including IKEA's Algot system to effectively organize all my craft supplies without spending a lot of money.  This closet has truly made my life so much easier.  Gone are the days that I am sorting through bags and knocking over piles of chaos looking for what I need.   I chose the  Algot storage system  from Ikea and although it's not as sturdy as the  Elfa system from the Container Store , it was much more cost effective.  I used Martha Stewart adhesive labels to label each basket to make it even easier to find what I am looking for.  I simply printed labels for each basket then slipped them into the gold bookplates.
