One of the many reason's why I love my husband is that he understands my want and need for decorating and goes along with all my crazy ideas. I may get some strange looks every once in awhile, but he pretty much gives me full reign to do whatever I want with the house. This was proven yesterday when I sent him an e-mail about a flooring option for the mudroom.
Me: (I sent him a link) "This will cost a few hundred dollars, but it would look awesome as a temporarily fix to the mudroom floor. It's the same stuff I used in the laundry room just darker."
Him: Not even 5 seconds later... "Ok"
Me: "That was way too easy, did you even look at the website?"
Him: "Nope, that is the way I roll."
This pretty much sums up all decorating decisions around our house!
Now, with all this mudroom talk on my brain I thought it was only fitting for this weeks Friday Favorites to be all about mudrooms. These 10 BEAUTIFUL rooms have all given me a ton of inspiration and I can't wait to get started on building, organizing and decorating my own mudroom space.

Oh my goodness! Totally crushing on each and every one Katie!!!
ReplyDeleteI know, me too! I don't even know where to begin on my own mudroom! They make it so hard to decide on a design :)
DeleteI adore ALL of these! I just wish I had a proper mudroom or even space for one in my house..
ReplyDeleteI've wanted one for years, so I feel very fortunate that we finally added a mudroom! Do you have a garage or mudroom that you could create one?
DeleteThanks for the round up! We have a spacious laundry room right off of our garage entrance, and if we moved the door from the garage into it, it would make an excellent combo mudroom! We're running out of space in our little entry closet! ;)
ReplyDeleteThat sounds like a great idea!
DeleteHaha you're hubby is a smart man! These are all beautiful and I especially love that floating bench :)
ReplyDeleteYes he is, but don't tell him I said so! I love that bench too :)
DeleteI don't care what it takes, I must have a mudroom in my house! Love all of these ideas you gathered. It makes me want one even more. :)
ReplyDeleteI know, these rooms are all beautiful and it makes me want to get my complete, like yesterday!
DeleteI love my "mudroom" (really just a drop zone in a hallway) but I wish it had cubbies for baskets instead of cabinets. Maybe I should just take off the doors...
ReplyDeleteOh, great idea of taking down the doors. You could always try it and see if you like the look. If not, just put the doors back one. You have nothing to lose!
DeleteThese spaces are all so gorgeous! We don't have a proper mudroom, but we did have an unused corner of our kitchen right by the back door that leads to our detached garage. Rather than just adding more kitchen cabinets, we turned the space into a mudroom-like space and it functions wonderfully for our family! http://blueistyle.blogspot.com/2014/04/KitchenMudroom.html
ReplyDeleteI love how you created a mudroom in your kitchen. What a great use of space and that tile you used is gorgeous. Thanks so much for sharing!
