The Craft Closet is Complete...

An organized craft closet with affordable solutions for storing fabric, tools, DIY supplies and decor.  I finally finished organizing the office closet and am thrilled to have it complete.  I used a lot of budget-friendly storage solutions, including IKEA's Algot system to effectively organize all my craft supplies without spending a lot of money.  This closet has truly made my life so much easier.  Gone are the days that I am sorting through bags and knocking over piles of chaos looking for what I need.   I chose the  Algot storage system  from Ikea and although it's not as sturdy as the  Elfa system from the Container Store , it was much more cost effective.  I used Martha Stewart adhesive labels to label each basket to make it even easier to find what I am looking for.  I simply printed labels for each basket then slipped them into the gold bookplates. Big news about Our Little House...

I am so excited to finally be able to share some exciting news about Our Little House.  I've hinted a few times that we were planning something big at our house.  So, what is the big project?  After seven years of daydreaming, hoping, wishing and planning we are finally expanding.  Yes, we are finally adding a two car garage, enlarging our kitchen and adding a mudroom!!!!  If you can't tell, I am pretty darn excited!  We have been working on this project for a few months and have been waiting on the architect and engineer to give us the final plans before I shared the news. We are actually doing this project in two phases.   Phase one: Adding the 2 car garage and getting the mudroom and kitchen framed out for phase two.   Phase two: Complete the mud room and gut and expand the kitchen.  We also plan on removing the wall between the kitchen and dining room and the wall between the kitchen and family room.  Since the basement steps divide the kitchen and family ro...
