It's been a rough weekend at our little house. If you follow me on Instagram then you may be aware that we received some devastating news about our seven year old Golden Retriever. Unfortunately, her prognosis is not good and we are preparing for the worst. She is currently at a veterinary hospital where she has been since Friday getting treatment to flush our her Kidneys. There are still a lot of unknowns and at this point we are taking one day at a time.
Since we were all a little down this weekend (and there are no flowers outside in sight) I took the opportunity to cheer up the house with a few spring blooms. The Dollar Tree may not be the first place you think of when it comes to faux flowers, but hear me out. They actually have a pretty good selection of floral picks and some look surprisingly real. There's also the fact that they are only a dollar and you can't get much cheaper than that.
Since I was going for a more subtle look I picked up a few Peonies, Daisy's, Billy Balls and Dogwood blooms. In my opinion, they are the most realistic out of their selection.
You don't even need to spend a lot of money on fancy vases. I used an inexpensive jelly jar, small glass blown vases from IKEA (3.99 for two!!) and a recycled glass balloon vase.
I even snuck in a few yellow Billy Balls in our mudroom.
