I don't plan on doing too much spring decorating, but I did want to add a fun garland above my entry table. After a long cold and snowy winter it was high time to add a bit of color. I use the term "color" lightly, as I tend to lean towards more neutral and cool tones in my home. Lately, I've been on a major black and white kick, so of course those were my go to colors for the garland. So much for color, huh?
Here's what you'll need:
- Wood Banner pieces
- Letter stickers
I started by painting the wood pieces a pretty blue using Americana Decor chalk paint. This counts for color, right? Once my wood pieces were dry I cut and glued strips of scrapbook paper to the front.
I love that it's subtle and adds just the right amount of color to the space.
I also picked up a faux dogwood branch from hobby lobby to replace my favorite cotton ball stems. Nothing says spring more than Dog Wood trees and since we have a few around our yard I thought it would be the perfect addition.
