Budget-Friendly Modern Shed Makeover

A boring and basic shed gets a budget-friendly modern makeover!  Why in the world didn't I do this sooner?  I joked in my Instagram stories that lately, I feel like I say that after every DIY project.   Giving the shed a modern makeover that fit with the rest of the house was definitely a long overdue project and was worth the long days of power washing, sanding, staining, painting and being covered in sweat and mud. Mood Board: Vintage Modern Dining Room

Black, white, green and wood come together to create the perfect neutral, vintage modern-inspired dining room! Vintage Modern Basement

A small ranch-style basement decorated in a mix of vintage, industrial and modern styles. Our basement has always been overtaken with toys and was a major drop zone for old, random and leftover decor.  It was a total hodgepodge and the last place I ever wanted to clean, decorate or spend time.   Now with my kids getting older (they are eleven and thirteen!) the toys are pretty much nonexistent and I've been able to clean out and update the basement.  I've added some of my favorite vintage finds and have been slowly turning it into a space I actually enjoy.  It still needs to be functional for our family (the kids do still have some toys and I work from home), but I've been able to incorporate multifunctional pieces that are both stylish and practical....

How to Build a Simple Modern Trash Can Screen

Tired of having your trash cans in plain sight?  Try this simple and modern solution for hiding your trash can (and other ugly outdoor necessities)!  We had our two-car garage built over seven years ago, which means for seven years the corner and side of our garage have been a little bit of an eyesore.   No plants, no mulch, no landscaping......nothing.  The corner of the garage is not only where we keep our trash can (it gets too smelly to keep in the garage), but it quickly became a dumping ground for random buckets, leftover wood, old dirt bike tires, hoses and random trash.
