Second-hand furniture gets restored, updated and transformed with paint and hardware! Hey, hey! Lately, house projects have been few and far between, but I've still been keeping busy transforming and updating furniture. Oddly enough, I find restoring and painting furniture super relaxing and thankfully, I've had plenty of pieces to keep me busy. Even though I haven't been documenting much of the transformation process, I still wanted to share a few recent furniture makeovers I've completed for my vintage booth at Sweet Clover Barn . ...

How to Make Paint Look Like Concrete
The most inexpensive and easiest way to paint anything to look like concrete! It's been MONTHS since I shared a Dollar Store DIY , but today I'm back sharing a simple budget-friendly craft. How to paint plastic to look like concrete! I love a good Dollar Tree makeover , so when I saw a variety of plastic planters at my local store I knew right away I wanted to give them a concrete inspired makeover. With just a few simple supplies (that I had on hand!) I was able to give plastic planters the perfect faux concrete look. ...

Friday Favorites: Affordable Modern Farmhouse Amazon Finds
Affordable and neutral modern farmhouse decor from Amazon! Thank goodness for Amazon Prime during these crazy times when shopping is limited and going to stores is less than ideal. It feels like the FedEx truck is dropping something off every other day and I'm not sure who gets more excited, me or the dog. Ellie has quickly learned that our driver comes armed with dog bones and is on her way to the truck before it even stops. I've been trying to keep my purchases on the "essential" side, but let's be honest, it's way too easy to get sidetracked and start browsing modern farmhouse home decor items. ...

Industrial Inspired Multi-Drawer Chest Makeover
A simple way to turn a dated dresser into an industrial inspired multi-drawer chest. I'm always on the hunt for smaller scale, solid wood dressers. I love the versatility of smaller scale pieces and the opportunity to get creative with mixing hardware paint and stain. ...

Friday Favorites: Stylish Kitchen Shelf Decor
Beautiful home decor to perfectly style open kitchen shelves! Happy Friday, friends. The kitchen backsplash was FINALLY installed this week and it looks so good! Unfortunately, the tile I wanted was out of stock, which held up progress, but it's installed and was totally worth the wait. Of course, now that the tile is complete I've been searching online for new decor to style the open shelves. I went with floating shelf brackets from Shelfology , but the shelves themselves are being custom cut out of black walnut. ...

DIY Vintage Letterpress Keychains
Repurpose vintage letterpress letters into cool and unique keychains! There are a handful of items I like to keep an eye out for when auctioning and vintage letterpress letters are one of them. They have tons of character, are perfect for craft projects and look great when paired and styled with vintage decor. Just recently, I scored a full tray of vintage letterpress letters and knew right away they would make cool and unique keychains. ...

80's Dresser Turned Distressed Chest
Transform and modernize a dated 80's dresser into the perfect distressed chest! Are you starting to notice a theme with my recent furniture makeovers? I'm kind of obsessed with transforming and modernizing dated 80's dressers . I love painting MCM furniture , but being able to build, transform and update unwanted or dated furniture is something that truly makes me happy. Oddly enough, I actually find painting and updating furniture relaxing and incredibly rewarding. It's one of my favorite ways to relieve stress, so the more furniture I can redo the better. Just recently, I found a small dated dresser on Facebook Marketplace that needed a little updating. The curved base and batwing hardware drastically dated the dresser, but it wasn't anything a little wood, paint and new hardware couldn't fix. ...
