It's probably my favorite season and I can't wait to turn off the air, sleep with the windows open and snuggle up in the evenings with a blanket. I even went as far as pulling out the fall bins from storage this weekend. No, I haven't started decorating, although I did get the urge to update my popular pallet pumpkins with a fresh new look. Large Rustic Pallet Christmas Tree
I admit, I'm a self proclaimed pallet addict. At first my husband thought I was a little crazy with the pallets, but now he's become an enabler and supports my habit. Hey, it could be worse. You may remember the small pallet trees I made a few weeks ago for a local craft fair. They were cute and perfect for indoor decor, but I wanted to create a large tree that I could sit outside our covered mudroom entrance. After cutting apart a pallet and nailing down a few boards to a piece of scrap wood I was left with a perfectly rustic (and free) pallet tree. It only took about 10 minutes to cut all the boards off the pallet and into pieces with 45 degree angles. The hardest part was figuring out how I wanted to layer the pieces, thank goodness I had a cute assistant to help out. (He said he was building a snowman incase you couldn't tell, ha) Once I was happy with how my tree looked I started nailing it together. I grabbe......

Easy and Rustic Pallet Christmas Trees
Learn how to make easy rustic pallet Christmas trees. I hope you all aren't sick of my pallet projects because I'm really excited about this next one! I loved creating my pallet pumpkins for the fall and thought what better way to kick off my holiday decor than with pallet Christmas trees! I started by cutting pallets into various pieces then stacked them to form the shape of Christmas trees. Once I was happy with the shape of my trees I glued the pieces together, clamped them tight and let them dry overnight. After the glue was dry I white washed and sanded each one then attached a large wood slice for the tree trunk. I thought I was done, but the trees just seemed too plan and boring. I dug through my craft supplies looking for inspiration and found the perfect little wooden stars. I used the smallest drill bit I had to drill a small hole in the top of each tree and star and attached them with wire and glue. ......
