Hallway Update: $8.00 Goodwill Antique Stool Makeover

An $8 antique wood and rush saddle seat stool gets a quick and simple raw wood makeover! It's been months since I've found anything worth buying at my local Goodwill. I stop in often and every time, I walk out empty handed.  It can be extremely discouraging, but that's all part of thrifting.  Sometimes you get lucky and sometimes you don't. Luckily, on my last Goodwill visit, I found an antique wood and rush saddle seat stool that immediately caught my eye....

Hallway Update: How to Add Style to a Small Hallway

Hey hey, happy Friday!  Earlier this week I shared an update to our living room and today I have a little hallway makeover to share.  This little space has seen quite a few transformations throughout the years, including a floor to ceiling gallery wall , the addition of a new light and a  dark painted accent wall .  Our hallway is a small narrow space, but that doesn't mean it has to lack style.  So, with a little paint, unique accessories and beautiful personalized art I gave our little narrow hallway another makeover, full of contrast and texture.   It now looks and feels much more like us and I just love looking down the hall and seeing the beautiful custom silhouettes of my kids.  ...

New Hallway Light Update

Updating our hallway with a new glass globe pendant! Ever since I shared my hallway update with the new rug and updated gallery wall, I've been on the hunt for a new light fixture.  The current one wasn't bad, it just wasn't my style anymore.  On one of my recent lunch break trips to Lowe's, I saw this clear glass light fixture that I thought would be perfect for the hallway.  I snapped a picture and asked for your opinion on Instagram  and you all seemed to love the light as much as I did. The next day, I headed back to Lowe's and bought the light!   I LOVED it, but my husband was less than thrilled with my purchase.  He HATED it!  Somehow I not only convinced him that it would look great, but also to install it for me.  I had all intentions of installing it myself, but I think he may have been a little concerned I wouldn't be able to tackle it alone.  I mean, I turned off the breaker, what's the worst that......
