Dollar Store DIY: How to Make Easy Pumpkin Place Cards

Impress your guests with these easy personalized pumpkin place cards!

It's the first Monday of the month and I'm back with an all new simple Dollar Tree makeover.   I took an unexpected break from my monthly Dollar Store DIY series, but it's back and I'm excited to share this month's simple Dollar Tree pumpkin project.

- Wood pumpkin cutouts (Dollar Tree)
- Waverly chalk paint (moss)
- Hot glue gun with glue
- Craft paintbrush
- Metal label holders (found in Michael's scrapbook section)
- Drill

I thought about making a garland out of the wood Dollar Tree pumpkins then realized they would make super cute place cards for Thanksgiving.

I used everything I had on hand, including bark from the woods, leftover paint from the painted plastic pumpkins I shared last week and metal tags that I previously bought from Michael's.

I tend to decorate with cooler tones rather than the traditional orange and red colors of fall, but you can paint your pumpkins whatever color best fits your style of decor.

- HOW TO MAKE PERSONALIZED PUMPKIN PLACE CARDS-

STEP ONE:  Paint the front and back of each pumpkin with Celery chalk paint.

STEP TWO: Add depth to the pumpkins using Moss chalk paint, making sure to blend both colors together.

STEP THREE: Create stems by hot-gluing pieces of bark to the top of each pumpkin.
