Most Popular Posts of 2015!!!

Happy Monday!  I hope you all had a merry Christmas and found time to relax an enjoy time with family.  Our house looked like a toy store exploded, but I'm slowly getting things back in order.

Before I dive head first into 2016, I wanted to recap some of my favorite and most popular projects of 2015.  There's nothing more motivating than looking back and seeing all that you've accomplished.

In January I built this little rolling storage box to house my son's Lego's.  It's been great, but now that he is getting older and his collection is growing a larger version is definitely on the to do list!

By far my favorite project of 2016 is my planked entryway wall.  It's amazing how much a weekend of hard work and inexpensive plywood can completely transform a space.

Painting our entry doors Sherwin-Williams Iron ore was probably the biggest bang for our buck when it came to updates.  I not only painted our entry door, but also our mudroom and dining room doors. You would think it would make the rooms smaller, but the contrast was exactly what the spaces needed.

I snatched this old file cabinet from our work dumpster and it is one of my favorite trash to treasure makeovers.

Painting our dining room was a spur of the moment project (those seem to happen a lot around here!) that made such a huge difference.  The room now ties in perfectly with our living room and makes our home feel so much larger.

An inexpensive cork board got a major update with a few pieces of Balsa wood and metal bookplates. It's perfect for weekly organizing in an office or family command center.

I can not believe that this room was finally finished!  About a year ago we added this room as well as a kitchen addition and 2 car garage.  Instead of the room being unfinished and unused for the next couple years, I decided to finish the space as inexpensively as possible.  I laid temporarily vinyl plank flooring and added a few fun accessories to make this space useable for our family.  We now enter through this door and it's been a great drop zone for my kids school bags.   When we renovate our kitchen this space is going to see some major changes.

These adorable little pumpkins were my favorite fall project of 2015 and your favorite as well.  I think I'll add a few more to my collection for next year.

I had no idea these little adhesive tiles would transform my kitchen as much as they did.  They instantly brightened the space and took it up a notch.  You may also notice that I painted the base cabinets a dark gray.  I love the contrast and will hopefully share the full reveal soon.

Wow, did these little felt trees quickly become one of my most viewed projects.  They were inspired by similar trees I saw online at Target and I only decided to make them after a reader asked for a tutorial.  They ended up being super easy to make and were a great addition to my holiday decor.

I wish I could give each and every one of you a big hug for supporting this little blog of mine.  I am so incredibly humbled and grateful that you take time out of your day to stop by.   I hope you'll continue to make Little House of Four part of your day in 2016 and I look forward to sharing more inspiring projects.

Speaking of 2016, here are a few projects on my to do list!

- Finish office/studio
- Finish Kitchen refresh
- Full room makeover for Owen
- New paint and flooring in the basement (this is going to be a big project, but it's top on the list thanks to our basement flooding twice)
- Possible wall treatment in our master bedroom
- Paint and update gallery wall in hallway
- Basement built ins?
- Fireplace mantel?
- Find and refinish a vintage dresser for our master bedroom.
- SAVE, SAVE, SAVE for upcoming kitchen remodel!
