{DIY} Felt Christmas Trees...

It's starting to look a lot like CHRISTMAS!  I know, it's not even December and I am totally skipping over Thanksgiving.  I just couldn't resist the urge to do a little Christmas project.  I got the inspiration for these felt trees from the Lowe's Creative Idea's catalog, but they have been around for awhile now.

A few weeks ago I picked up felt and 3 Styrofoam cones from a local craft store.  Once I got home I used a toilet paper roll as my circle template and traced what felt like hundreds of circles.  I then sat down one evening and cut them all out.

I attached each felt circle with a push pin starting at the bottom, over lapping each one as I worked my way up.

For the top, I laid a piece of felt over the cone and attached it with push pins.  The last row of circles were then attached with hot glue.  When I was all done I sprayed the trees with glue then shook white glitter all over them to add a little sparkle.  Too bad you can't see that part in the pictures.

The bottom of the trees are actually two brass candle stick holders that were found at Goodwill for $0.49 a piece.

Have a wonderful weekend!

  1. These are so pretty, I love them. I never would have thought to use felt for this. Great idea!
