White isn't White...

Who knew that picking a white paint would be so hard!  I've learned that there are 377, 941 different shades of white.  Okay, I may be exaggerating a bit, but seriously why are there so many white paint choices?  I never thought I would ever paint a room white, but here I am trying to pick the perfect paint color and am hitting a road block.  I don't want a white that has pink or cream undertones or that is too bright white.  I don't know, maybe I'm just being too picky.

I always use Sherwin Williams paint, so I pulled out my paint deck and started looking for the perfect white.  First, here's a few whites from the top of some paint chips.

Does anyone else notice that most of these have "white" in their name, but are far from white? Then, I went to the lighter whites and found these.

After going back and forth I think I am leaning towards Toque White, Natural Choice and White Duck.  I've noticed that for some reason these colors look darker, so for comparison sake here is another paint chart and a few rooms with the colors I am considering.

Natural Choice:

This is a great comparison of how Natural Choice would look against the white crown and trim molding.

White Duck:

Toque White:

If anyone has any other great "White" paint colors I would love to hear your suggestions.
