Let's Go Thrifting: Auction and Thrift Store Finds Vol 3

A collection of furniture and vintage finds from Facebook Marketplace, auctions, antique malls and thrift stores! It's been a while since I've shared a Let's Go Thrifting post , so how about another recap?  Today, I'm sharing a few recent finds from auctions, thrift stores, antique malls and Facebook Marketplace.  I live in Maryland and frequently travel throughout Maryland, Pennsylvania, Virginia and Delaware to pick up and shop for furniture and vintage decor. I love traveling, exploring new areas and finding new shops and places to hunt and pick.  The thrill of the hunt is the best part and I certainly do my fair share of hunting....

Vintage Mirror Restoration: How to Make a Hot Glue Mold

Learn how to restore a vintage mirror and recreate ornate wood using super easy hot glue molds! Last week, I bid on and won a beautiful vintage wood mirror.  It was trimmed out in ornate wood and the mirror was beveled and perfectly aged.   Unfortunately,  the wood frame had a damaged and chipped corner, but I knew I could repair the corner and replicate the trim detail by making a super easy hot glue mold.   I'm pretty sure the damage deterred other bidders, which was great for me because I got this fabulous mirror for a steal! ...

Spring is the best time to source new house plants and fill your home with fun textured pots and planters!  I haven't been shy about expressing my new found love for house plants.  Maybe it's the fact that my kids are getting older and don't need me as much.  Maybe it's because plants give me a sense of accomplishment when they thrive.  No matter what it is, buying and taking care of house plants has quickly become a new hobby that brings me a great amount of joy. Do you know what else brings me joy?  Texture ! Plants and pots are an excellent and effortless way to add natural texture to your home.  I have a list of plants I hope to add to my collection and now that spring has arrived, it's becoming much easier to source more unique varieties.  Yay!...

Let's Decorate: Affordable Neutral Spring Decor

Freshen and lighten up your home for spring with these affordable and neutral spring decor favorites! It's officially Spring, although, it definitely doesn't feel like it here in Maryland.  Lately, it's been cold and rainy and we've even had a bit of snow.  The less than desirable weather may be delaying me from switching to my  vintage Bates bedspread  for spring, but I have swapped out heavy throw blankets for lighter alternatives, repotted, trimmed and propagated a few of my overgrown house plants  and started eying up some affordable spring decor.  ...
