Office Update: Painted Accent Wall

In the middle of working on our basement I've also been trying to finish my office.  As a reminder, this space is actually our kitchen addition that we added about 2 years ago.  Since it will be a bit until we tackle and expand the kitchen I decided to take over the space and turn it into the perfect workspace.

I previously stenciled the back wall, but just last week got the itch to paint over the stencil and I'm so glad I did.  Although I loved the idea of a stenciled wall it just didn't fit my style and I was craving a change.  It's the first wall you see when you walk in our mudroom and I wanted it to fit the rest of our home.
Updated office with Sherwin-Williams Iron ore

Is it even a surprise that I picked Sherwin-Williams Iron Ore as the accent color?  I love the drama it added to the hallway and couldn't wait to add the same color to my office.  You know how I love contrast and this color definetely gives a heavy dose of it.

It perfectly compliments the painted mudroom doors that are just across the office.

I added a gallery of my collection of "A's" and number "4's" and also picked up a new office chair while I was at HomeGoods.  Those of you that are super observant may also notice that the mudroom rug has also been moved to my office.

If you are wondering, I did not sand the wall before painting.  I was hoping a subtle hint of the stencil would show through the paint and it did.   If you look closely you can see the gorgeous stencil

White, Iron Ore, wood and gold.  My favorite color combination and perfect color scheme to get me inspired.
