{Friday Favorites} Around Blogland

Happy Friday friends!  I'm so glad it's the weekend!  My soon to be sister-in-law's wedding shower is this weekend, which means the wedding is only a few weeks away,  ahh!  I couldn't be more excited to be gaining a sister in just a few short weeks.

For other non exciting news, while working on the garage my husband injured his finger, boo. We thought it was just jammed, but after going to emergency care he learned it was broke and he tore a tendon.  Now he has to see an orthopedic to see if surgery is needed to repair the tendon.  Let's hope it doesn't get to that point.  So, while he's claiming "worker's comp" guess who gets to shovel ALL the dirt out of the garage?  Yup, this girl right here!  My dad also volunteered to come over and help, thank goodness for dads!

Now to the fun stuff.

I was completely blown away by this West Elm inspired rug from Upcycled Treasures.  The color and design are perfect and it just goes to show that you can create an amazing rug for a fraction of the price.

Have your kids gone back to school yet?  My daughter starts Monday and how cute is this apple mason jar from The 36th Avenue?

How cool is this marbled tray that Jen made from IHeart Organizing?  I absoluetly love this idea and how perfect for a DIY gift.

Jaime from So Much Better With Age recently shared her beautiful home tour.  I love so many things about her home, but her kitchen and bathroom are my favorite.
One of the first blogs that I started reading years ago was Bower Power.   I just love Katie's sense of humor,  style and creativity.  She also has three little boys who are absolutely adorable.  She recently took a few pieces of scrap wood to make this towel rack for the boys bathroom and I just love how it turned out.

Have a wonderful weekend!

Will keep my fingers crossed for some good news for your hubs. Have a good weekend!!!

    1. Thanks, friend! My husband needs all the good vibes he can get. Have a great weekend :)

  2. Thanks for featuring my kitchen! Thanks girl ;)
    Hugs, Jamie
