Switching gears in Paige's room

You've all heard the term, writer's block.  Well, I have decorators block and can't seem to settle on a consistent color scheme for my daughter's room.  I had a vision in my head of what I wanted her room to look like, but it's just not coming together the way I had imagined.  Sometimes things don't always work out as planned and you just have to regroup and start again.  My original plan was to use white, black, coral and mint.
Slowly, as I've been piecing her room together the color scheme just felt more and more stuffy and not so bright and cheerful.  My daughter has such a fun personality and I really wanted that to be reflected in her room.  For the past month I've been searching for the perfect curtain fabric, pillows and accessories all of which have turned up empty.  I just wasn't finding anything that I truly loved, until I stubbled upon a new color scheme.

I had already somewhat tested part of this color combo by stealing a pillow and lampshade from my master bedroom.  I really like the mustard, but there still needed to be some changes.   Particularly, the black accents just felt too harsh and will be replaced with navy.
I'll be keeping the bedskirt, but the mustard pillow will be placed back in my room and all new pillows will be used for Paige's bed.   I love the board and batten wall, but that wall be a totally different color.  (hint, it's not white, mustard or navy)
The polka dot wall and DIY shelves will not be changing, but the curtains will be removed and replaced with something new.  They were leftover from when we first moved into our house and the 2nd bedroom was used as a spare room, long before kids.
I have a few fun projects planned and have already bought and ordered a few accessories for her room.  I'm hoping to have a full room reveal done in a few weeks!
