Burlap Gift Card Bags...

I'm just popping in with a real quick project today.

The other night my 3 year old son actually fell out of bed in the middle of the night and broke his clavicle.  It really surprised me since we have bed rails on his bed.  He has been in a lot of pain and wanting mommy lately.  I just want him to heal quick so he can get back to his old self.  So,  this means I will probably be MIA for a few days/weeks as I tend to more important things.  Not that I don't think my blog is important and all.

This was one of those quick spur of the moment projects that came about after wondering the isles of Michaels.   I always check out the isle by the registers that have all the inexpensive craft and gift supplies.  Sometimes you can find some cute things to decorate with like the keys that I used on my fall pots.  I ended up getting a few packages of these cute little burlap bags.  I believe they were $1.50 for a pack of two.  I thought they would look cute painted and used to give gift cards.  I did a few different designs, but really like the cream chevron one.

I just used some acrylic paints that I already had and a foam brush.  I actually picked up a bunch of the foam brushes at Michaels a few weeks ago.  They had them on sale for 20 for $1.00!  That's when I usually stock up on them.

I'm thinking about going back and getting some more to do for Christmas to give gift cards.  Family, Friends....you may be seeing these again!
