Inexpensive Fall Pots...

We were having a party at our house and I wanted an inexpensive center piece for the two tables on our deck.  While I was at the grocery store picking up food I saw they had mums on sale for $2.00 a piece.  I picked up two and figured I could do something to spruce them up when I got home.  The mums came in the usual boring plastic pots.  I didn't want to keep them in the pots they came in, but I also didn't want to spend more money on new pots.  So.....I did what I always do and searched the house for supplies I could use!  I found burlap, twine and 2 keys that I bought for another project.

I started out by hot gluing the burlap around the pot.  The burlap was a little too tall so I folded the bottom under before gluing.  I glued the burlap all the way around the pot and made sure the two ends overlapped.  Then I folded under the top piece and glued it to the pot.  This way there were no raw edges showing.

I love how they turned out!  Easy, cheap and cute!

Not bad for a 5 minute project that only cost $4.00!
