A little space just for kids...

I don't know about you, but my kids love to paint and draw!  My daughter would rather sit and draw than do anything else.  I wanted to create a space that she could sit and have all her art supplies together (I keep the paint away so my 3 year old won't make a mess!)

I bought these cute little tin buckets from the dollar section at Target.  Gotta love the dollar section!  I got four and put colored pencils, markers, crayons and craft supplies in each of them.

I also wanted a way to display their artwork so I picked up one of these curtain wires from IKEA ($12.99) and some clips.

The wire is soooo long that I probably could have stretched it from one side of the room to the other.  I ended up cutting it down to fit just above the art table.  It was pretty easy to install with the help of a tape measure, laser level and drill.  Just make sure you either buy screws or have some laying around the house because the kit did not come with them.  Luckily, I found some extra screws that worked.

Their artwork is easily displayed and can be changed out as much as they want.  Now i'm thinking I might have to go back to IKEA and get another one!

I'll be back next week sharing how I made a cafe style curtain for the window just above the table.
