Do you want a beautiful home?  Are you on a tight decorating budget?  It's easy to spend a lot of money when decorating your home, but it's also easy to make it beautiful on a budget.

From inexpensive decor to clever DIY and decorating ideas, here are a few of my favorite clever and inexpensive ways to decorate your home.
Make your home beautiful with these clever and inexpensive decorating ideas!

How to Decorate Your Home For Less!

CREATE INSTANT ARTWORK
I've used everything from free printables, fabric, kid's artwork, wrapping paper and bags to create instant and almost free decor for our home.

FAKE A HEADBOARD
Create the look of a beautiful headboard with stencils, paint or wallpaper.  At first glance, it's hard to tell that this beautiful headboard was created using Cutting Edge stencils.

GO BIG WITH FAMILY PHOTOS
There's no better way to make a house a home than with family photos.  Have your local office supply store print your favorite photo as an engineer print and pop it in an inexpensive frame for instant wall art.

PAINT YOUR DOORS
Painting our entry door (Sherwin-Williams Iron Ore) was the best thing I ever did to inexpensively update our home.

MAKE YOUR OWN PILLOWS
A great alternative to buying expensive store bought pillows is to make your own.  Check the clearance aisles of your favorite home decor stores for tablecloths, table runners, placemats and tea towels that can easily be turned into pillows.

SKIP THE BIG RETAILERS
Instead of paying full price for generic furniture head to your local Habitat for Humanity Restore, thrift shop or vintage market for other unique and affordable options.

SHARPIE YOUR WALLS
Paint, stencils and wallpaper are all great options for creating a beautiful accent wall, but if you're looking for an even cheaper option just pull out your Sharpie!

DISGUISE YOUR ROUTER WITH A BOOK
It's no surprise that I love decorating with books (and old cameras!), so this clever idea is a no-brainer for me.

HIDE WIRE SHELVING
Dollar Tree foam board and pretty contact paper is the perfect combination for updating basic wire shelving.
