I really didn't have plans to make any Easter crafts this year, but when you feel crafty on a Friday evening you must take advantage. As I was going through my craft drawers I stumbled upon a glass jar that I had picked up from the Dollar Store and as they say, "the rest is history."
I just bought a bag of bark strips from Hobby Lobby and knew they would give the jar the perfect rustic touch.

I painted the jar with 3 coats of Americana Decor white chalk paint , distressed the jar with sandpaper then applied one coat of creme wax. Don't mind the vintage locker tag :)
alphabet stamps to personalize a cardboard tag then attached it to the jar with a mini clothespin. I finished off the jar with some faux Billy Balls (yes, that's what they are called) making for the perfect distressed jar place card.
I love that the Billy Balls not only make the table look pretty, but they are a nice little favor to give to your guests. You get extra points if you use real flowers instead of faux :)
