Happy Monday! Did you all have a nice weekend?
I finally found some motivation to wrap up a few projects this weekend, including a furniture makeover, more office organization and a few projects for the hall bathroom. First on the list was a simple DIY towel rack that I made so the kids can FINALLY learn to hang up their own towels.

- 1x12 (I ripped mine down to 9 inches)
- Minwax Ipswich Pine and Classic Gray Stain (I mixed about 2/3 Ipswich and 1/3 classic gray)
- Black House Numbers
- Brushed Brass Single Prong Hook
- 2 Heavy Duty D Rings
For months I searched for the perfect wall rack to hang in our hall bathroom. I quickly realized that finding exactly what I wanted, including wood to match my new mirror, proved to be challenging. That's when I started playing around with a few stain combinations and was thrilled to find a color that matched the mirror exactly.
I took a piece of wood that we had laying around and had my husband rip it down to the size I wanted. I then stained the wood using a combination of Minwax Ipswich and Classic Gray stain before adding house numbers and gorgeous brushed brass hooks from D.Lawless Hardware.
(I'm not sure why the wood has a red hue in the pictures below. The actual color is more like the pictures above)
I added 2 heavy duty D hooks to the back for hanging then hung the rack on the wall next to our shower.
I'm still looking for the perfect piece for above my new rack, but at least the kids can now hang up their own towels after they get out of the bath. #smallvictories
