Nature Inspired Fall Vignette

Nature inspired fall vingette

I'm always up for a challenge and reason to decorate, so when Samantha from Little Bits of Love invited me to participate in a fun vignette challenge I was totally on board.    Shopping for new decor items can get expensive, why not shop your house and decorate for free?  It's amazing how a space can feel fresh and new just by swapping out a few pieces from one room to another.

A natural inspired fall vignette using items from in and around the house.

The idea was to use items that can be found in and around our home to create an inexpensive vignette.  Here's the list of items we had to choose from.

  • Books
  • Natural item
  • Textured item
  • Pumpkin
  • Something with text
  • Vase/basket/cylindrical item
  • Textile
  • Something Sentimental

Here's what I collected from around my house and backyard to create my natural inspired vignette.

Items for inexpensive fall vingette

All these items were things I previously owned and/or found out in the yard.   I took my inspiration from the beautiful falling leaves and bare branches around my yard then pulled in a few more orange tones with one of my pallet pumpkins and Reader's Digest books.

I love using books in my decor to bring in a little color and add height to shorter items.

To balance out the leaves in the olive bucket, I taped (my hot glue gun decided to die at the most inconvenient time) a few leaves to bare branches and stuck them in another metal vase.

My favorite part of this natural inspired vignette is that it was absolutely FREE!  Shop your house, shop your yard, not the stores!  You don't have to spend a lot of money to decorate your home, just check out what my blogger friends have created using items they already owned.
