Hey, how was your weekend? If it was anything like mine then it was probably full of rain, rain and more rain, ugh. At least Sunday was nice and we were able to take the kids to a fun pool party. I also got a lot of projects checked off my list, starting with organizing my craft paints and brushes.
I'm not the most organized person and often get lazy when it comes to putting my craft and DIY supplies back where they belong. I normally do projects at the dining room table, which means most of my supplies end up on the dining room floor or in the hall closet. Did I mention I am also a bag lady? Yeah, I have a problem of buying supplies, keeping them in bags then forgetting what I bought or where I put them. I have finally had enough and I'm slowing starting to get things organized again in the craft closet, starting with paints and brushes.
You may have seen the vintage metal cups when I used them in my pallet utensil holder. I bought them at Lucketts spring market and I love that they have so many great uses. While I'm not using them to hold utensils for get togethers, I thought they would be great to hold a few paint brushes, markers and scissors in my craft closet.
I added a few vintage locker tags to each cup using brads and hot glue. I love the vintage vibe that they add to the closet. Now that I had the brushes and scissors organized it was time to deal with the paint. At least most of it ended up in the "craft supplies" bin, but I also had a lot spread out in various places around the house, don't ask. It wasn't the most ideal storage solution and I had no idea what colors I actually had.
