Quick and Easy Target Side Table Makeover

About 3 months ago, while perusing the clearance section at Target,  I spotted the cutest little side table.  My first instinct was to snatch it up, but of course I had to consult all of you lovely friends to get your opinion.   I posted a picture on Instagram and you all convinced me that I needed to buy the table.
I have a slight addiction to clearance sections and tend to impulse buy when I spot a great deal.  Let's just be honest, I did not need another side table, but who could resist this great deal?  (plus, you all told me I needed to buy it!)

I brought the table home and kept it in the basement for awhile until I could decide what I wanted to do with it.   I tend to lean towards anything gold, but this table was just too monochromic for my liking.   It needed an update and I knew just the right thing to add a little contrast.
I removed the 4 screws that connected the frame to the tabletop and I was ready to break out the spray paint.

A few coats of ORB spray paint later and this table had the contrast it needed.

Right now the table sits next to my zebra chair in the basement.  I'm sure this area will change, but for now decorating with what I had on hand will have to do.  You may remember that I flooded the basement about a month ago and this was one area that was completely soaked in water.

Yeah, not a pretty site!
The carpet has since been dried out, but replacing the padding is just not a priority at this time.  Completing the garage and mudroom and saving for our kitchen remodel come way before getting new carpet in the basement, so for now,  it will have to do.
