{Christmas Tour Part 2} Home For The Holidays

I had big plans of decorating the rest of our house and sharing part two of my Christmas home tour, but then I went and flooded the basement.  Definitely, not in the plans.  I still managed to get a few decorations added to the dining room and kitchen and hung the stockings on the mantel, but the rest of the basement is a total train wreck.

If you missed my first Christmas home tour you can check it out here, it's a little rustic and a little shinny.
With the living room being so neutral and calm I decided to change things up a bit in my dining room.  I went with greens and blues and a bit of sparkle to match my everyday decor.

Our kitchen is right off our dining room and got a few Christmas touches too!

Just like the living room, the basement mantel got a more rustic look with my DIY pallet trees,  fresh pine and metal letters that I found on clearance at Michaels.

Now that you've seen my home, don't forget to check out all the Holiday tours!

    1. Thanks Erica! The basement is finally getting cleaned up and the carpet has been rolled back down. Granted there's no padding, but at least we have carpet :)

  5. Katie your home is so pretty. Every time I see photos of it I spot more things I love. For example, your blue buffet is to die for - I must have it!!!! I love how you were able to add Christmas decor in the same shades of blue and green. Everything is gorgeous. I hope the basement situation is improving! xo

  7. Soooo sorry about your basement! I can't believe how lovely your home looks in the midst of a flood! I love your blue and green color scheme, and those pallet trees! And now I really wish I would have purchased those metal letters when I saw them at Michaels - I love how used them on your mantel (is that a drawer they are in?) So many fun touches, Katie!

    1. Thanks so much Amy, it was definitely hard to get things decorated in the middle of trying to dry out the basement. I can't believe you didn't buy those letters, darn! I actually have them sitting in an old wooden box that was my grandmothers. Thanks so much for stopping by :)
