I've had this boring white side table in my son's room ever since he was a baby. It was a great place to rest a bottle of water during middle of the night feedings or store a few of his favorite books. As he got older and moved to a bed, the side table got used less and less. For the past 3 years it's sat unused just taking up space. His room is incredibly small and every inch of floor space counts. So, a few weeks ago I removed the table and added a rustic white basket that I bought from HomeGoods. Both of my kids are stuffed animal fanatics. It was more important to have an extra place for their treasured stuffed animals than a wasted side table.
To jaz up the drawer, I measured and cut a piece of scrap paper and used Mod Podge to glue it to the wood.
The table will either find a home in the basement or possibly in our unfinished "finished" mudroom.
