Navy, Coral and Yellow Bedroom Reveal

Are you ready to finally see Paige's completed navy, coral and yellow room makeover?  I am so excited to finally have her room complete enough to share it with you all today.  I've shown you bits and pieces of her room, but today I'm finally sharing her entire room and all the projects that I've done over the past few months.

I started out thinking her room would be mint, coral and black, but Paige quickly realized she didn't like those colors.  Since this is her room and her opinion counts, we changed the color scheme to navy, coral and yellow.  I could not be happier with how her room turned out and love the new color scheme.  I know I've said this before, but this room is definitely my favorite room in the house.

Navy, Coral and Yellow Girls room
I started her room makeover with the board and batten wall.  It went through many color changes until I finally settled on Quite Coral by Sherwin Williams.

The gallery wall was made up of a collection of $8.00 Goodwill frames that I first paint coral then updated to navy.

I was unable to find a coral bedskirt, so I used this curtain panel from Target to make my own with minimal sewing involved.

The silhouette tray was made from a Melissa and Doug toy packaging that I painted and updated with scrapbook paper.
White side table
I also added scrapbook paper to inexpensive IKEA boxes then added gold labels for easy art storage.
Updated magazine file holders

I love these two little storage boxes that I picked up from HomeGoods on clearance.  I updated them with scrapbook paper then added gold adhesive labels.
Updated storage containers
The shelves are one of my favorite parts of the room makeover.  My daughter loves to read and I needed to figure out a way to maximize the space in her room, but also have plenty of storage for books.

The Hello Sunshine sign was made from pallets that I nailed together then painted.

The navy lamp was a $5.00 Goodwill find that I first spray painted gold then navy.  The gold pig, which was once pink was also updated with spray paint and purchased from a thrift store for $1.00.

  4. Looks great! I love how grown up it looks but I have a feeling my 5 year old would not want it... she's into Rainbow Dash and everything needs to be bright and colorful (as in every color of the rainbow!). Me, on the other hand, would LOVE her room to look like this!!!

    1. Ha! My daughter is more into art, drawing and making crafts, so I don't have to worry as much about frozen and princesses in her room. Don't get me wrong, she has many dolls and toys, but luckily they fit into her drawers and under her bed :)

  23. Katie loved everything about this room! Heck, as an adult I would like to have a room like this too! It's amazing how you have a keen eye for thrift store finds and the way you upscale them. It's a very sophisticated transformation for a girl's room, which will not get outdated soon. Great job!
