Hello, Polka Dots

CAT UPDATE: For those of you that haven't been following my cat updates on Facebook and    Instagram, I am happy to say that we FINALLY found Simon on Thursday night!  After 5 days of being "lost" outside we caught him eating some food we left for him on our side porch.  I was so excited when I saw him that I scared him off and he went running after I opened the door.  We searched outside for about an hour and finally found him under the shed.  The same shed that we checked 100 times before.  We are so thankful to have him back and appreciate all the concerns and prayers for a safe return.

Even with the Easter holiday, I found some time this weekend to get a few more projects for my daughter's room knocked off the list.  I knew I wanted gold dots in her room, but didn't want to pay a lot for them.  I searched the web and found these removable vinyl wall decals from Amazon.  They were only $22.00 (free shipping!) for 56 gold 3 inch adhesive dots.  Perfect.

The hardest part of the whole application process was measuring and figuring out the layout of the dots.  Making sure they were evenly spaced was a bit of a challenge.  I also had to make sure I had enough dots to fill the wall without running out.
Once I figured out the placement, the decals went up quick using a tape measure and laser level.

The dots are fun and tie in with the gold lamp and frames on the other side of the room.  I still have a few more projects planned for this wall, so it won't be staying like this for long.

  2. I love this polka dot wall, so much that I actually added it to my shamefully empty house decorating pinterest board. I hardly ever feel especially inspired by the idea of decorating (hence the almost empty board) but this is just great.
