Friday Favorites...

Happy Friday!  We have big plans this weekend to celebrate my daughter's sixth birthday.  Six.  How did that happen?  She is suddenly no longer a baby, but a beautiful and talented little girl.   I'm hoping this weekend we will create some amazing family memories for her as we celebrate her big day!

Here's what I've stumbled upon this week…

Could this Isaac Natural brass light fixture from School House Electric get any more beautiful? Seriously, this light has been on my mind all week.  How great would this look hanging over a kitchen sink or paring a few of them over a kitchen island?

Can you believe that this galvanized bucket is from Walmart?  It's only $9.98 and would be great to store garden tools or used as an outside planter.  They are currently out of stock online, but you may find some at your local Walmart.

This Herringbone throw from Crane and Canopy is gorgeous and would look great in our basement.   At $74, I probably won't be shelling out money for it, but maybe I'll get lucky and find one similar at Homegoods.

I love these modern dish towels for $36.00.

These mid-centuy painted bowls from West Elm are not only functional, but would look so pretty sitting on a bookcase or open shelf in a kitchen.

This article from Your Best Nest  really hit close to home.  My son is three and at an age that he constantly is needing his mommy.  I would be rich if I had a dollar for every time he said "mom."   I admit, I am not the most patient person and I easily lose my patience with him.  It's not his fault.  It's mine.  He's young and just wants his mom.  I totally blame myself.  I need to realize he will grow up way too fast and one day I'll look back and wish he needed me.  It's time to take a deep breath and enjoy all these moments.  They won't last forever…

Have a great weekend everyone!

  1. Happy birthdayTo the 6 year old! My she's gettingSo old. I love the dish towels and bowls!! As always I enjoy your blog

  2. My oldest (a girl) will be 6 next week too!! We also have a three year old boy (and an 18 mos old boy) and yes it is so hard to be patient with them needing me every moment. I have to remind myself on the bad days that sooner than I can imagine they will no longer need me as much.
Loving the bowls and the bucket...I may have to check out our Walmart to see if they have any!

    1. I'm glad I'm not alone in my feelings! I didn't realize your kids are the same age as mine! Seems like we have a lot in common :) Good luck finding the buckets! I'm going to check all my local Walmarts.
