If you missed yesterday's post make sure you check it out to see the twisted felt pillow.
This pillow is pretty self explanatory, so I'll let the pictures do the talking.
For the paint I used what I had on hand, Martha Stewart Metallic multi-surafce acrylic paint. I read the back and it said it can be used on fabric. Although, I'm not sure how it will hold up if you are going to be washing the pillows. The type of pillow I was making would not be going in the wash machine so I didn't worry about it. For the circle template I used a spice lid and traced circles over the entire front piece of fabric. Do not do what I did and use a RED sharpie. I thought the gold paint would cover it up and the marker just bled right through the paint. Another lesson learned. I ended up starting over and using a yellow sharpie, which worked out great.
I first filled in each circle with a large foam brush, then went back and outlined each one using a smaller brush.
These pillows were just what the living room needed. The gold pillow ties in all the gold accents and the color block pillow brings more avocado color to the sofa side of the room. Ideally, I would LOVE to replace the sofa, but we have a long list of more important things at the top of the "To Do" list.
This is what I've been up to this week...
